Cloud Solution Provider & Partner Center News

Change to calculation method for CSP trailing-12-months partner revenue.

Starting April 10, 2024, trailing 12 months (TTM) Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) revenue totals reported to billed CSP partners will be calculated using only transaction-based revenue, inclusive of both subscription and perpetual software revenue. Due to this calculation change, some direct bill CSP partners may see an adjustment to their TTM revenue.

Any non-transactional revenue derived from partners’ support of customers via Claiming Partner of Record (CPOR, for seat-based subscriptions) and Partner Admin Link (PAL, for Azure subscriptions) will not be included in the TTM totals.

The removal of non-transactional revenue and the addition of perpetual software revenue to the TTM revenue total are being implemented immediately. These changes will align the TTM revenue total with the billed revenue total reflected in CSP partner invoices and used for the calculation of Microsoft Commercial Incentives (MCI).
